NID Syllabus
The entrance exam known as the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) consists of two stages, NID DAT (prelims) and NID DAT (mains). The first is a written test that will evaluate the students’ knowledge of color terminology, the inter-relationships between mood, theme and color, natural and geometrical forms, optical illusion and color psychology, measurements, scales, and proportion, among other things. The second stage is also divided into two sections. The first is a studio test in which students will be asked to solve questions and problems through drawing or sketching, model making, material manipulation, or a group discussion, among other methods. The second is a personal interview that takes place once the studio test is over.
Online NID Coaching
There are different types of coaching classes, but in this era of technology by far the most convenient and commonly chosen is the NID online coaching option. Anyone could benefit of receiving NID coaching online but there are special cases and situations that would find this teaching format helpful. For example, those that have complicated schedules or family situations and simple cannot attend the classes physically. There are two ways of conducting online courses, and they both have points in favor that should be considered:
- Interactive classes: In NID online interactive classes teachers give the class in real time, and students can either tune into a broadcasted one or schedule a particular one just for them. Basically, it is either a sort of classroom or a sort of home schooling, the only difference for both cases is that there is a screen and several kilometers between the student and the teacher. Because everything is happening live, students can ask questions directly and teachers can answer immediately. However, students might miss something of what was said and there is no way of listening to it again, so to speak, no rewind button.
- NID Prerecorded lectures: In this case, the class was already recorded and is now available for the student to download the content and watch it whenever they can. That is the most important benefit, students being able to replay the content as many times as they like. There is no pressure for time. They can listen to an explanation as many times as need for the message to sink in. The problem is that there is very little to no interaction between the teacher giving the lecture and the student.
Live classes are more of an open discussion whereas the recorded videos are lectures. Think about it and choose the option you think will work best for you.
